Hi, i want to make a new frost spell (based on the frozen orb of diablo 2).
I know one spell like this has already been created on the hive workshop but it is in jass, and i want to make my own one :)

So here is my question : how to slow units (with buff) with a trigger ? (In GUI).

Thanks,

Exum

Use Dummy Unit
Use "Slow" ability as the base spell
Change Slow ability's data (Special Effect, Target, Cooldown, Tooltips, etc)
Create Dummy Unit, order it to cast the spell
A buff will appear and the slow takes effect along with cool effect (frost)
I made a test map for you, enjoy =D
But pretty much its effect lies in Object Editor, not on Trigger Editor
The slow thing and such, it belongs to Object Editor
Btw, mckill was right
Just base it off Frost Nova spell, easy ?
You only need to modify the Buffs/Effects Tab for the buff

Thanks :) I think i'll use this kind of trigger.
I tryed to make Dummy Unit with Frost attack, but it don't work (why ? Good question)
I'll make a test map to show how i did, and why i can't base the spell on Frost nova (but i can give a dummy unit this spell...)

Yep it's an "unit" spell.
The problem is that when i test my map, units don't get slowed by the frozen orb (Dummy unit named "Cold attack" should slow enemis)
