I think you should make a tutorial thread of how to draw such kind of artworks, and it will be really helpful especially to those aspiring digital artists. :)

I think you should make a tutorial thread of how to draw such kind of artworks, and it will be really helpful especially to those aspiring digital artists.
Trial and error, you need to analyze the key points behind the style: stylistic solutions that are characteristic for majority. Not all in-game icons are consistent and there are both drawn icons and screenshot edited ones. So, you'd have to find the ones that are carrying full weight of style and analyze those. The shapes are very important and shapes of drawn icons often hold advanced quality. In other words, there is no point in making tutorial when the whole thing is already there, simplified and drawn within 64x64 pixels.
