As you noticed, the forums for wc3s have closed, they were having a lot of trouble over there.

When visiting an internet site, especially for the first time, its always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the site's news updates. The administrators usually post the news on the main page so that as users enter they can learn about the the most important recent events.
