Need Help On Weapons

i think thisquestion is very newbie-like but i am new to the editor. i notice when i create a custom character Grom Hellscream he hold one axe. I attach a trident to his left hand and he holds both the axe and trident. is there a way to remove the axe? or where can i find models without weapons
