crit plx. don't say anything about his right arm though - I know it's off.

Decent work on the skin! Though he lacks shape, he's too flat - especially the head. I would suggest putting the elbow below the trident, for the right arm. Also, arms are not just round balls of muscle, especially the underarm needs a longer shape, and the shading between his claw and the underarm shouldn't be there .. well I haven't exactly researched naga anatomy, but I would assume it is a lot like humans.

His arms looks like a bunch of footballs sewered togheter, his beard tentacle thingy looks like candle or something, his body hmm... a long bean bag. The shadow on his left shoulder strides against the shadow on the other parts of the body. I dont know about the color mix, looks like a purple haze or some sort or that you were high on shrooms when making it anyhow i would recommend working on gray background and finding a more comfortable colors for the finished piece. Also a tip, try to lift the tablet pen less for more solid colors and moar sexiness.

Overall, work more on the shape, start with making a few thumbnails or simply go right on the sketch, but make it well. Start coloring after, dont go directly on that part.

You know, I don't think it was the artist's intention to create solid colours, a naga completely blue would not look like a naga. The colouring style of this piece is wonderful. I can agree about the anatomy though. As for making the background grey, depends on what you're aiming for. A purple background is a lot more interesting than a grey one, and the green stands out more. Though, personally, I would have chosen a lower saturation.

Even if a style is different from yours, it does not imply it is incorrect. I could never draw something like this, it's not my style, but that does not mean that I ignore the qualities of this style.

What i meant by more solid colors is this, which is a speedpainting piece. The way speedpainting works is that you lift the pen as little as possible so that you'll get more solid color areas. It also brings more sexiness. Now do you get it?

As for making the background grey, depends on what you're aiming for. A purple background is a lot more interesting than a grey one, and the green stands out more.
Read twice, gray background for work, other color for finished piece - preferably a comfortable color (The color looks almost as if picked out from the MSpaint color palette).

How would you know that the purple background wasn't added afterwards? Not that I care much, I always start with a lowly saturated background that will serve as the base colour for the background later (ie light blue on low saturation if I intend for it to be a sky in the background). Though I agree, the highly saturated purple is a bit disturbing.
As for solid colours, you misunderstand. The use of this kind of colouring is necessary to create the skin effect, it is after all, not metal or some other plain surface, it is scales.

grey usually works because it's as neutral as you can get.

White makes everything else look darker and vice versa with black.

Aye, grey is a very good background colour when you draw, but if you're planning on fitting the background with the colour scheme it's easier if you start of with one base colour for the background - rather than base the background on the drawing, base the drawing on the background.

Well, I really like the colors; I think they properly display a naga's color scheme. It may just be me, but I believe the trident/spear doesn't look right as the blade enlarges towards the top. I think it would look better straightened-out... but that's just my opinion.

It's nice coloring, just work on proportions and muscle structure. Also the perspective looks a little jacked up. But all those are just minor fixes, nothing major. Nice art piece!

If I had to rate it from 1-100 i'd probably say 78.5ish :D
No offense meant, just trying to let you know what I think could be improved :D
