Music Compression

Hey I found that in certain maps they have Full songs and the size of it is only like 400KB But when I import it It is more than 6MB how does this happen?

I don't know how to compress that much without losing quality big time, but a program called wavepad that has a free internet trial can do this.

Ok i got Wavepad and i got the song but how to i compress it?

Save the file as an mp3 once you've opened it in wavepad... It will give you an option for the bitrate, each time the bitrate is decreased quality slightly decreases but the file size does as well.

winLame is perfect to compress mp3 music without losing quality. It can compress the filesize even to half and you won't see the difference. Just use custom settings and lowest quality of 9.
