Master or Orion 2

I am making a map based off Master of Orion 2, which is an old turn-based game. The basic map is, every player starts out with a planet. Players must research technologies in several different fields using a Research Point system I'm working on, build ships, expand to other planets, and eventually destroy all other players.

So, I've been running into quite a bit of trouble with triggers.....I am only about average at GUI and know no JASS, so I need a partner who is really good at triggering.....If you want more info about the map, PM me.

Ok.....big question number one...about my research point system.

I set us a simple thing that keeps track of how many reserahc points you have, and gives you a certain amount of RP based on how many Scientists you have.

Now, is it possible to do a trigger where a condition is something like variable RP is greater than or equal to 100? I need this so that when a player researches a tech, the game will check to see if he has enough tech points to reserach it.
