Map Protection for submitted maps

No, it's not necessary. And I'd rather call it optimization than protecting, because mostly what you should want is a low filesize and an optimized mapscript.
Though, if you want feedback on your triggering, your map should be unoptimized.
You could also make 2 version of the map, one opt for playing and one without for taking a look in the editor/testing single player.

You can if you want, map will still be playable in game so we can't say NO.
But if you want better feedback and suggestions about it leave it unprotected so we can point out bad things.

Honestly it's same to me, I will still check everything but if you use GUI I won't be able to help you with triggers.

I have no problem about people looking at my triggers, they are very simple anyway. They are even in GUI.

The reason for protecting my map was to "prevent" people from ripping it. Not that I think its worth ripping as its quite simple. But I guess that isn't really a problem here.
