I was using the Grom Hellscream model for a unit in my game and I minimized to use a model editor to remove his hero glow and the glow on his axe blade. I saved the new model, removed the old file from imports manager (i had previously altered the model already), added the new one, then exited the game. There was one instance of the unit placed in the game. Now when i try to open the map in the editor, it loads up to 88/89 units, and then says that it crashed from a critical error. Other maps work fine. Is there any way to retrieve my work, even if its just the object or trigger data?

Well, if not protected with sumthing, I think you can try with War3Model Editor

Simply, direct to folder of your map (X:\Warcraft3Dir\) , right click on it, and
click on "Open with War3Mdoel Editor" you should see a window with sum files, these files refers to the things you have into your map. The only think I know is the .WTG file refers to the trigger-data.

Thank you! I wasnt able to regain access to my map, but i was able to retreive the triggers and unit data (although all the unit names are in weird computer speak now :S).
