1. Download the model.
2. Import the .mdx file (or .mdl i forget which extension models use) using the import manager in WC3 TFT's World Editor.
3. Import any skin (texture) files using the Import manager.
4. Set the skin paths correctly using the paths shown on the download page under specifications.
5. Save map.
6. Close World Editor fully as well as warcraft 3 if it is running.
7. Reopen World Editor.
8. Reopen the map and use your model.
If this does not help use the automated tutorials which are almost identical to that of windows XP/vista even thou they are mac.
You may also wish to seek a tutorial from our many tutorials which may help you in more detail.
The skin files needed come included with the model file you downloaded. If there are none then it does not need any. The skin paths also have to be exactly what the model uses (read on the model page) or else the model can not find it. This does not involve the skin section in any way.
