A model is a 3D object that can be imported in WC3. The skin is the textures of a model.

To make custom skins, You need the following tools:

  • -PhotoImpact from Ulead or use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
-Image Extractor II, available on this site in the tools section.
-WC3 Viewer also available on this site in the tools section.
Now follow these steps:

  • - Now, extract the texture you want to modify and save it as .TGA. with Image Extractor II. Wright down or copy the path of the file. For example:

    UI\Glues\Singleplayer\Load-Generic\Load-Generic-Bot-Left.blp

    OR

    Units\Undead\Melee\Ghoul.blp

    - Open the file in PhotoImpact or other program from list above.
    - Edit the image.
    - Save and convert to .blp with WC3 Viewer.
    - Import the .blp-file and change the path to the same as where you got it from in Image Extracor II.
    - Close and open WE.
    - Enjoy
