A model is a 3D object that can be imported in WC3. The skin is the textures of a model.
To make custom skins, You need the following tools:
-PhotoImpact from Ulead or use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
-Image Extractor II, available on this site in the tools section.
-WC3 Viewer also available on this site in the tools section.
Now follow these steps:
- Now, extract the texture you want to modify and save it as .TGA. with Image Extractor II. Wright down or copy the path of the file. For example:
- Open the file in PhotoImpact or other program from list above.
- Edit the image.
- Save and convert to .blp with WC3 Viewer.
- Import the .blp-file and change the path to the same as where you got it from in Image Extracor II.
- Close and open WE.
- Enjoy
i have to say abou the same things as him but a little bit easier.
First go into the tools section and dl Warcraft III image extractor then go into there and right click on a skin you want and click save. then go into tutorials and looks for a good one for skinning. they will explain the rest.
