[Trigger] How do I make a unit temporarily stop his actions?

Hey guys.

I am currently making a spell and I am having some difficulty. The spell should make the caster momentarily "pause" and continue on doing the rest of the spell's actions. The thing is, I can't figure out how to make the caster do that, I also shouldn't pause the caster (I forgot why but I know that's somehow important/recommended), and all I can do is make him unselectable by the controlling player for the spell's duration.

What can I do to make this "pause" and still be able to control the animation of the caster? :))

P.S. The spell, does not move the caster.
