hello! i'm ron.
i just thought of registering here since i download a lot of maps here. and lately i downloaded some icons to use for a map i'm making.
and yep, i like making maps. it actually started back during Starcraft. i made my own campaigns (actually made a series of map to make it a campaign but never really got to the "ending" map and skipped to another idea which in the end never had an ending too). back then i also tried making a sport-like map, much like that map in which you play a soccer-like game, where your player is a guardian and your ball is a zealot. the trigger part was a lot harder for me, as i don't really know much about variables in triggers during the time i was making it. all i know is the if-then-else. then came Warcraft.
the first map i tried opening in World Editor is the Warchasers. i was really annoyed when you play the Dark Ranger and yet you can't heal yourself, so i tried changing that. then when i started making my own map, i.. was.. killed.. by.. the.. triggers. it was waaaaay harder than the triggers in Starcraft. and so i stopped creating a map and made myself satisfied with the maps made by others.. until the time i understood triggering.
ever since i understood how triggers in WC3 was used, i found myself making some maps. though really, until now i wasn't able to finish a map. i made as far as something like halfway complete then another idea pops up and i forgot that i had another map i need to finish yet. but right now, i really really plan on finishing the map i am making. and thanks to THW, i understand some parts of the World Editor.
oh, i haven't introduced myself? i'm ron. i'm.. 22. haha and i don't think i should be playing WC3 at my age. but i really like gaming! love it. XD
and i'm from the philippines.
