Help! MPQ troubles.

I have the MPQ view program and I know how to open the MPQ file but when I try to extract anything it gives me this error:

This application has encountered a critical error:

The file data is corrupt.

Program: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\MPQView.exe
File: C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\War3Patch.mpq

Abilities\Spells\Other\Incinerate\IncinerateBuff.mdx

and it exports that and a load of other stuff that I can't understand. Is there some other tool I need? Or is it just something I need to fix.

Try WinMPQ, Ive never had any trouble witht hat one.

For me everything in it says "unidentified" and then a number after it, so I can't tell what anyhting is. Do I need some sort of listfile? Because I don't think there are any in there.
