Gordon Freeman

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Gordon Freeman from half life, u can easily import this model and use it in any warcraft 3 maps and it is compatible with classic too, it has 6 versions with 5 different weapons, pistol, crowbar, revolver, mp5 and shotgun (other weapons were possible to be added but it wasnt easy to import ALL of them, ask me for a specific weapon if u need one) the silly 9mm is an early version thats kinda broken and keeps crouching and doing insane stuff

instructions:
import the model into the warcraft importer in the map editor
import the textures and rename thier paths so they become:
gordon/weapons.blp
gordon/body.blp
gordon/face.blp
then go to the object editor, choose the unit u want to change the model of and replace the model file
Alternate versions of the animation are crouched animations, u may use it with something like that one bear transform ability so u can have a crouched version of gordon

Special Animations:
there are some special cinematic animations that i left cuz there was no reason to delete them here are them and their uses
aim up/aim down
for aiming up and down duh
unused walk/walk 2/(mp5 bomb)/walk slow unused walks that u might see useful and the mp5 bomb attack which might useful for an ability or sum, and a slow walk
deadsitting/deadtable/deadstomach for specific dead animations, REALLY useful in cinematics
gutshot/headshot dying animations
push pushes
death silly a silly death
jump/long_jump a jump and a longer jump, that animation isnt placement fixed like the walk ones
not sure if i forgot anything

Personal Comments

  • Texture pathing is very unacceptable (i.e: gordon/weapons.blp - gordon/body.blp - gordon/face.blp) people usually import custom models (especially ported ones) en masse, and expect the pathing files to be gordonweapons.blp where you just remove the war3imported/ .. It is hugely tiresome and bothersome to memorize every single texture path for every model if everyone will name texture files in a different way. (The golden standard is to make it just the filename.blp or the filnemae.dds)
Verdict: 5/5 - Approved - Pending changing texture pathing for full approval.
