Ok, let's have some fun guys by being creative. This thread has no other purpose but to have fun. You must post an elven poem, with elven words (which of course, can be invented), but you don't need to translate it. The whole idea is for it to sound elven and interesting. ;) I'm sure that a lot of these poems will have influences from your mother tongues, so it will be very interesting, I think. I'll start:

Code:
Epsi Orn Haal Ferlen
Simli Nok Davar
Ishnu Do Khor Tello
Xantum Tarlio Saln

Horti Sevis Neo
Balnio Zephyr Lok
Ame Sina Vernis
Subio Magrod Nok

Iluzi Nado Cores
Samos Randill Ferl
Ipsi Karon Kolis
Rilsi Va Tril Del

Hyri Valis Norre
Halvo Ser Nil Tor
Igo Nima Fellis
Ipsi Limo Gor[/quote]

I actually invented this poem during a romanian class. :P The class was soo damn boring...

Hey this should be good. I'm not very creative so I got a latin poem. I know this is sposed to be Elven but would you know if I hadn't said that? besides, latin is tradtionally a magical language anyway, just look at the typical spell names, they all sound latinish.

O Fortuna,
velut luna
statu variabilis,

semper crescis
aut descrescis;
vita detestabilis

nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem,

egestatem,
potestatem
dissolvit ut glaciem.

Sors inmanis
et inanis,
rota tu volubilis,

status malus,
vana salus
semper dissolubilis,

obrumbratam
et velatam
mihi quoque niteris,

nunc per ludum
dorsum nudum
fero tui sceleris.

Sors salutis
et virtutis
mihi nunc contraria,

est affectus
et defectus
semper in angaria;

hac in hora
sine mora
cordis pulsum tangite,

quod per sortem
sternit fortem
mecum omnes plangite.

It is supposed to go with a tune, some of you may have heard it. It's a very famous tune. I have an english translation by request.

Actually, they do in some english university. Or was that kling-on (or however it's spelt) anyway it was some nerd language, pretty sure it was J.R.R Tolkein's Elvish. But it is an official course and you can graduate in it and everything. Ok, now I'm damn sure it's Lord of the Rings Elvish. I'm not sure why I'm so sure, I just remember thinking I would do that, if I could... and I wouldn't want to learn kling-on.

Ok, there it goes... (High Elven Language)

Anar caluva tielyanna
Elen síla lumenn' omentielvo
Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta

PS: This really means sumthing

Now one in black language :)

Ash nazg durbatulûk,
Ash nazg gimbatul,
Ash nazg thrakatulûk,
Agh burzum-ishi krimpatul!

Translation:
One ring to rule them all,
One ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them!
