Displaying text to triggering player?

I'm trying to find a trigger to display text to triggering player. I'm trying to put in "weapon slot in use" when the person has 2 weapons equipped.

The only way i know of is to make the tirgger player specific.

Click on the (All players) and select "Convert player to player group." Then select "Triggering player" or "Owner of (Triggering unit)" depending on what your event was.
