Ashes of Stratholme
While creating a campaign in HD, I noticed a huge lack of decorative models. Looking at the SD asset collection that had been developed for years, the HD maps felt “empty.” Having absolutely no knowledge of 2D or 3D graphics, I decided to make as much as I could in the simplest way possible — so using RMS I made simple edits to models to cut something out or combine something with something else. This is how a fairly rich set of my assets was created, most of which I have used in this campaign.
My Resources
For example, why not cut out that stack of wood from the sawmill and treat it as a separate decorative model.
Currently, not all of my edits are available on Hive, but most of the ones I was satisfied with have been uploaded.
My latest work is a combination of several fragments of models merged into one, creating a separate model — something like a kind of tent/combat building.
Thanks to these simple edits, my maps feel richer, and playing around with them in the editor is great fun
