Cool Frost Shields (AI Generated art)

While I understand the power of the AI, you still should do some effort on editing the result (a lot of effort)

SD icons.

Many of these shields look like they had initially a very high resolution and the details get really clustered together a lot, also IMHO they do not fit the warcraft 3 theme over all, do not look SD and just look AI generated.

I did a lot of effort on editing them post generation, didn't just port them lol. And I'm just not very artistically gifted, but I'll see what I can do in the future.

I am not trying to attack or be aggressive towards you, but honestly cropping and resizing an image to 64x64 isn't much of an effort, and I believe that even basic generations with AI - like Midjourney or Stable Diff can generate much better style if better prompts are used.

And I'm just not very artistically gifted

You don't have to be in order to do icons in 64x64, where not a lot of detail is necessary.

Understandable, but still IMO posting such resources to Main Resources Page on Hive is just not the right move, better do that in ported section if the quality is not to the standard or wc3 style.

These icons will remain pending until we figure out how we wish to handle fully AI generated icons.

As an artist (that's how I considered myself), it's an insult to us that people can do "art" easily using AI. While I agree that AI has many advantages in many industries, I think in arts, we shouldn't allow it. Art takes a lot of effort and imagination and even we used reference, you need some skills to execute one. Art is one of most fine invention of mankind and even though we have a lot of technology to rely on, art is the only remaining job that has a "soul" in it. I can't imagine people can be called "an artist" because they can use AI to generate and voila! It's art! LMAO.

AI generated artwork is pure laziness. And I think it's unfair for us to allow it on this community. When I started drawing an icon (and I remember it's just a f***king simple mushroom), I received a lot of scrunity especially from the moderator, he criticized me a lot and my icons are always rejected, and due to that, I started studying digital drawing and I'm sure it helped me a lot to improve.

Again, it's really unfair and insult to us. We're actually doing art here for "FREE" because that's how we love Warcraft community and I think we shouldn't allow the AI scourge to thrive here.
