The hand may need some more shading, and also the effects on the background may need some fixing. I would make some more voodoo type effects into the background either around the hand or in the background it self.

I think you should lengthen the fingers and lower the hand down a bit i think it would really look awesome like that.

Looks pretty nice, really.
But I agree, the hand could use some shading. Looks a bit... Blob-like in its current state.
