Sin'dorei300: Like i said it a few times, it'd be ideal for an icon to be recognizable at the first glance.
That's in attention of all of us, but now i am referring to ur shield icons.
U could zoom out or change the perspective.
Whichever will be ur option, make sure that the icon will be easily recognizable.

With standardized shield icons depicting in most cases a shield entirelly, this icon may appear a little of weird shape and the perspective isn't helping in here. I thought it was an undead building at first glance.

Hm, the new version reminds me more of a surfing board or a very close view of a spear.

I think it could help to change the overall shape. Even Protoss aren't as thin as they could hide behind this kind of shield, maybe make it thicker therefore.
