the biggest error is that the sapphire isn't round, if you make the outer and inner lines rounder, use a little less blurry brush to do the circles around, and making it a shaded version of the color that is the bond around the gem instead of a black. Also this look like someone that is quite good could done in paint, if you use paint, you would greatly improve by using softares like GIMP or Photoshop.
