PeeKay, please don't post such offensive comments. He's just trying to learn and you're not helping him in any way by saying his icon looks bad.

Armenian Beagle, the icon itself is quite simple and needs some improvement. For example a black background could look great. The icon however looks nice, you managed to get some nice shadows and highlights. I suggest you to check out Gimp or Photoshop for making icons in the future. Some people also use Photo Impact though I'm unfamiliar with it. The object(Cane\hook) should be more centered in the icon too, and could use a better shape and more highlights and shadows.

This is just a tip i won alot from.
Before start drawing at your computer, you should draw with a pencil and paper in real world.
But with the same idea, and when you find something of your work awesome, you should try draw it with your computer and then put it out at hive .
Even though... well it's veeery hard to see what this is but listen to Debode and you'll have candy from M0rbid.

No white background, make it black, also increase the size of the object or hook in the middle as it doesn't make any sense at the moment. Overall needs alot of help though.

thanks for the comments, i know ima 'newb' or whatever, but ill try photoshop (gimp didnt work). The bg is actually a very light blue (fav color), but ill try to make it black...

also, im actually very good at drawing in real life, its just that i dont draw realistic stuff. im more of a cartoonist.

i think that gimp didnt work because of zonealarm (i clicked allow and it didnt get to the install launcher),


also, it might take some time for me to upload a better icon, i have several projects for school and i gotta get the important stuff first
