Based-On spell buff stacking question

Hey there, when you base a spell on an aura, let's say vampric aura, but you use it for instance only for the custom buff (for a spell that you for example made). What happens when you then get a vampiric aura, does it stack? I have this question because in the game it says "It doesn't stack with ... " but it might be the case that this is hard coded, please let me know
