I'm going to assume you meant invisible battle.
The ghost telegraphs an attack over the player's location, then is revealed as it tries to unstick itself (i.e. the Death Sword miniboss battle in Twilight Princess). Alternately, the player leaves an explosive or trap at the location, damaging the ghost.
The ghost summons several visible minions and turns visible once they're all defeated.
The ghost is invisible save for an untargetable marker (light, a weapon, etc.), and must be damaged via targeted abilities. It also blinks randomly around the arena.
The ghost can be turned visible, but summons several mirror images when doing so.
