Main things:
1.Never make a random cinematic.First think about an intense story, which is the most important thing in a cinematic.
2.An acceptable Terrain/Environment, just dont place units in a map, without editing the Terrain etc.
3.Camera Work:The Camera should not be at the same spot for more than max. 4 seconds, it should always be moving.
4.Music:Its best you use custom music, not warcraft music.There is also an advantage, where the filesize is not a matter, its going to be watched in singleplayer, so the filesize limit is unlimited.(But dont make it like 100mb, where people will require 30 minutes to download it!)
5.If you are going to make a combat scene, then just dont order the units to attack each other, use animations, instead of "right click" and for example slow down the unit's animation when hes going to hit someone with his weapon.
