Took long to finish because of the shark and some real life things that's on the way.
Make sure that you both have the textures installed, or else it wouldn't look good
You need the shark texture to be replaced if you are using the shark model it will look different and weird.

is the geometry mirrored or could one eye get an eyepatch? since that's the only thing i can imagine that would improve it

It is mirrored sadly, but good news is that a modeller can add it. You need to find one tho.

well he could make a draenei pirate with a small amount of adaptations though i'm not sure that's even a real thing though with kul tiras nowadays it might be

I think the boy meant "skin" by battery. I am a Spanish speaker and the translation sends me skin=bateria=battery
