General​

  • Dispel abilities now remove the 'Slowed' debuff from Frost Nova, Frost Armor, Frost Wyrms, and Orb of Frost.
  • Units with Spell Immunity can no longer be slowed by Frost Wyrms or Orb of Frost.
  • Added tooltips for abilities that were missing them.
  • Units that previously had a 'Chaos' attack type (heroes, spellcasters, and creeps) now have an attack type called 'Normal', which is different from the 'Melee' attack type that units like Grunts have.
    • It has the hero attack type icon.
    • Functionally, it is the same as Chaos, dealing full damage to everything, including buildings.
    • This was changed because 'Normal' is what this attack type is called in the beta files and also because seeing the 'Chaos' attack type on these units was a bit jarring since it is usually associated with more powerful units.
    • Chaos is still used for units that have it in retail (ex. Demon Hunter Morph and high-level creeps).
  • The tooltips when mousing over Armor and Attack types have been re-written to be clearer.

Human​

  • Thunder Clap level-3 hero stun duration decreased, 4s -> 3s. Its increase in the previous patch was unintentional.
  • Mass Teleport cooldown increased, 20s -> 30s. Its decrease in the previous patch was unintentional.
  • Inner Fire
    • Now provides a flat 5 attack damage bonus and a 25% armor bonus. Previously it was +20% attack damage and +2 armor.
    • The armor calculated for the bonus includes existing bonuses granted by other buffs, not including any existing Inner Fire buff.
    • The maximum armor that Inner Fire can grant is 4.
  • Steam Tanks use their beta portrait.
  • Fixed Town Halls having the Call to Arms button even though it did nothing.
  • Magic Sentry ability button pos is now 2,2.

Orc​

  • Critical Strike chance at level 2 reduced, 9% -> 6%. Level 3 chance also reduced, 21% -> 12%.
  • Earthquake duration decreased, 25s -> 20s. Its increase in the previous patch was unintentional.
  • Orc Burrow
    • Fixed an issue preventing units from easily entering an Orc Burrow.
    • Peons, Grunts, and Troll Headhunters should now be able to right-click an Orc Burrow (and vice-versa) to load the unit regardless of how close the unit is.
    • Added a passive button to the Orc Burrow to clarify which unit types can be loaded.
  • Command Aura uses the creep Command Aura icon instead of Endurance Aura's icon, to reduce confusion.

Undead​

  • Death Pact
    • Can now target buildings and non-undead units.
    • Duration increased, 15s -> 300s. But it will end sooner if the shield is dispelled or runs out of hit points.
    • Tooltip now explains how much life is converted into a shield and how long it lasts.
    • Fixed a memory leak.
  • Sleep
    • Cast range decreased, 800 -> 500.
    • Level-1 duration on units decreased, 20s -> 15s. Its increase in the previous patch was unintentional.
  • Dark Ritual can now target heroes and non-undead units.
  • Curse hero duration decreased, 60s -> 30s. Its increase in the previous patch was unintentional.
  • Possession can now target air units.
  • Fixed a bug with Frost Wyrms applying Freezing Breath by simply flying near buildings. Now they must actually cast the Freezing Breath ability on the target building to freeze it.
  • Crypt Fiend
    • No longer receive attack upgrades.
      • The reason for this is that in the real Beta, their actual damage comes from their Spider Attack passive ability. Attack upgrades do not affect this ability, and consequently, don't actually increase the Crypt Fiend's attack damage.
    • Attack type changed from Melee to Piercing.
      • Although the Beta slk lists their attack type as Melee, it appears the Spider Attack ability in the beta is hard-coded to actually cause Piercing damage.
    • Attack damage reduced, 28-33 -> 29.
      • The Beta 1.03 slk has Spider Attack giving the Crypt Fiend 28.5 damage (no damage roll). The Beta 1.00 slk has it at a mere 5, which would make them worse than a worker.
    • Fixed Web button position, is now 0,2.
  • Abomination Explosion passive button position changed to 2,2.

Night Elf​

  • Entangling Roots
    • No longer disarms the target. The affected unit can still attack and cast spells.
    • Level-3 duration decreased, 36s -> 25s. Its increase in the previous patch was unintentional.
    • Tooltip now shows the correct amount of damage that it does.
  • Huntresses no longer have a bouncing attack.
  • Fixed Druids having no mana regeneration in their morph form if no training was researched, which was preventing them from morphing back.
  • Priestess of the Moon uses her spell animation when channeling Starfall.

Items​

  • Orb of Frost now longer slows air units. In the real beta, all orbs can only be used by melee heroes, thus cannot be used against air units. Replicating this limitation would be difficult, so this is a compromise.
  • Crown of Kings now uses its beta icon.

Neutral​

  • Goblin Zeppelins use their beta death animation (emits white smoke instead of black smoke).
  • Removed portraits from Forest Troll Trapper, Forest Troll King, and Ogre Lord.
