Hi. I have this optimizer working and running at my PC, turns out I had it downloaded long ago, I forgot about it. And I now know why. Because I try to optimize some of my models with it now, for test with few of my models. And it breaks them. The parts that were shining before are now shaded or how do you say it, samiliar thing happened to me with Mdlvis. And as bonus, it ruined decay flesh animations, where model dissappears than reappears in unanimated form simply sinking into ground.

I have no idea how to use it, but I know me using it breaks my stuff. That is why mostly RexusMax helps me with that.

thats probably because you check all options in the optimizer. Instead you should check only the options that fix the issues with your model - the ones that sanity test shows.

And about the shaded parts - are normals broken? or materials with checked/uncheked tags? or light nodes?

stan0033: I will be honest here - I have no idea what exactly you mean. UV mapping, Icons, and Camera manipulation is thing I +- uderstand. In the last years, I tried to understand it so Rexus would not have fix every little problem I had. I tried to switch weapons, merge portraits, add glow and add dissipate animations, etc... It only resulted in failure and me having fits of rage. So when you say normals, vertexes, tags, light nodes, matrices, etc... I probably heard all of those words, I just have no bloody idea what they meant.

About this shades, no, I checked it, and material layers stayed same if that is what you mean.

Vertex = a point in the 3d space that is used by polygons. polygons make the geometry visible.
Normal = an XYZ vector that is part of a vertex. Depending on its value determines how the polygons/s that use the vertex are shaded or not.
Tag = true/false property that provides additional information how the model must be rendered.
Light node = node that is of type Light emitter. It emits light in various ways.
Matrix group = a group (part of a geoset) that contains references to nodes. the matrix group is used by a vertex to determine to which nodes is the vertex attached.
