Did some searching:

.mdx -> .obj

Is there a free program that I can convert mdl/mdx into obj, or any of all those paths that can be imported in 3d programs ?

The link for the first one does not work. Same for the other links that I have searched in google including the hive. None of them works sadly.

For Retera's, I'm not sure if I'm a noob but it doesn't work as well. There's an error popup saying "java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: OBJ saving has not been coded yet." So I think it isn't supported yet
