HIVE

Oh, thanks Ralle! Sorry I missed this.
Shame on me for not logging in for so long, but life keeps one busy and I haven't really done anything warcraft-related in the past couple of years... wish I could go back to some war3 modding, just making some simpler things again.

I'm surprised you remembered me at all, if this isn't an automated message :cgrin:. Although I suppose I was annoying enough. Still am...
Anyway, how you doing, if you don't mind me asking?

I am in the middle of a storm in life. We sold the house and buying another. Work and kids keep me busy and it's only with an iron grip will that I keep maintaining HIVE the past couple of months. But things will get better once they settle down. It's exciting though.

I will assume the house swap is for the better, from your "exciting" statement.
So, good to hear :)!

What does Hive maintenance entail besides costs by the way? Or you know, the constant upgrades you add :D Or, well the resource moderation but I assume this is what mods mostly deal with.

The things I code are free so to speak as I code them. The server costs between 50-100 EUR per month. I don't remember right now.

I see. So quite costly then, considering the effort you put in it.
Thank you for the Hive Ralle.

Oh yeah. I think the site would probably cost $3-400000 USD in development if it was a consulting job for me just in the last 5 years. But it's also what hones my skills and keeps me from tiring with other more mundane tasks at my real job. But I would love to make a living off of it.
