Yeah, Varok is actually great, it's rather his interaction with Sylvanas that dooms him because of how much Blizzard has messed up Sylvanas' story. It always seemed as though she was working towards her own twisted idea of altruism, which was interesting since it made her into a complex character. Now however, it seems as though she only works towards world domination.
