I'm not a programmer unfortunately! I work professionally as a designer and QA tester, and I do GUI scripting for my War3 stuff (minimal JASS). Sorry!

oh I always thought you were a programmer. But what does the QA tester do?

QA testers find, track, and regress bugs, as well as investigate user reports. I'm primarily a black-box tester, meaning I don't work directly with code but test on a compiled build instead.

so then could you take a look at my game? It's very simple so far, a java swing app basically, based on an otherwise single player card game, but I want to make it multiplayer, but in order to do so, I need to do some alterations to the original rules, since they were rather asymmetrical, but for multiplayer you usually want balance.

I wouldn't mind taking a look. Are you mainly concerned with game balance, bugs, or fun/player experience? What kind of feedback would be helpful to you?

mostly gameplay content, as interface is still very basic, after all this is done from scratch using eclipse without any engines and fancy graphics stuff. Since it's in java, should I post in format of class files or a pseudo executable jar files?

Jars sound fine

Mechanical Man
hey, did you check it out?

Sorry, I haven't had a chance yet! Things have been a little bit crazy for me. I'll try and give it some time tonight!

This is a neat little game! Did you make the original on kongregate?
Mechanical Man
Mechanical Man
no no, that is an old game, I discovered years after being made, after all I have no knowledge of flash, but it's true that I used some sort of flash decompiler to get the assets :)

do you have any idea how to make the card resolution? Now some effects are resolved before others, maybe it shouldn't be that way? Could have one whole card resolving before the other, but for example who is going first has a clear advantage since they can just burn opponent before he can react.
