(it will sound stupid but I'm wondering ...)
- high elfs can become undead BECAUSE of the plague (same for trolls)?
- Zul'aman is a jungle or a temperate forest or a boreal forest (or we don't know/care)
- What was the name of the ghostlands before the scourge (unless it was quel'thalas too) ?
- ... loading ... next question when I will remember it ...
1. Yes, technically speaking no race is immune to becoming an undead, with that said it's unlikely to see other than high elves or human undead as those were the ones Arthas resurrected in Lordearon and who would later become the Forsaken. Sylvanas has only had the power to revive since Cataclysm and due to her location natives of Kalimdor are rarely found as undead.
2. Zul'Aman is a forest that based on in-game models is inhabited by mostly coniferous trees.
3. Eversong Forest or Quel'Thalas is a common name used for both zones. Prior to Arthas there was little need to differentiate between the two so either Eversong Forest or Quel'Thalas will do. Keep in mind that Eversong Woods and Eversong Forest are not the same in this regard.
2. It seems to be more akin to forests in the northern parts of the northern hemisphere. A kin to the forests of Russia, Canada or Scandinavia, that's my interpretation though as I know of no source mentioning the type of trees or climate in the region so take my opinion with a bit of salt. What we do know for sure is that the trees look very akin to our worlds pine trees.
3. Difficult to answer as the maps from WarCraft III are very unlike those we see in WoW, so once again take what I will say with a bit of salt as there is no official cannon backing it. What we know for certain is that Greenwood Pass is a road Arthas travelled on in order to reach Quel'Thalas. This in my opinion would make it more akin to Thalassian Pass in WoW.
2. Let's say that it became colder after the third war because of the creation of the ghostlands and the breaking of the elves' spell that made spring eternal. I was seeing Zul'aman like a jungle but with pines. hum.... a bit like mediteranean forest to be honest
3. Well, I think I will use Eversond forest for the whole Quel'thalas region, and Greenwood pass will be the connection with lordaeron (And let's say that the thalassian passes are located in it)
But the thallassian pass isn't based on the Elven gates of Warcraft 3?
And in my campaign, the scourge will also afect Zul'aman, as has we can see in the plaguelands, the climate and the nature change after the scourge occupation/attack (and also in the ghostland).
2. I'm a bit unclear on what the question is, is it what would happen if the climate got colder? I mean the trolls lived there before the quel'dorei came too so I can't imagine it would be a unbearable change if it became winter as we've seen them survive those climates before, when and shortly after the supercontinent of Kalimdor.
4. Interesting idea, in WC3 Arthas just never cared for the Amani as his goal was the Sunwell and in War Crimes we see them having been mostly beaten back so they wouldn't be able to spread their front. I'm guessing your campaign takes place in between those two periods?
The other thing I can explain to myself is; why the sunwell is in Silvermoon (war3) even thought there's a "sunwell grove" on an island on the map (time gain I think :3)
The void seems good, it's not like WoW is loyal to the WC3 maps anyhow.
Yeah that's another weird one... They do re-explain the third war in some of the books but no, they were not exactly loyal to the old maps in WoW.
Well goodnight, have to work early in the morning and with that I leave you with the wise words of my senpai, Korra. "What's the big idea of making me work in the morning, the morning is evil."
