Overview

A native nation of Alastorn who descended from Earth and travelled to the dark planet a long time ago. They are a sea-faring people that uses their gigantic and technologically developed ships to survive in the harsh conditions of the planet and avoid dangers of the land. And they seldom visits the coast to make trade or develop their living lifestyles.

After the mysterious disappearance of the invaders from the other side of Alastorn 800 years ago, the Aenid Sultanate rose from its near collapse and learned from their technologies. They eventually expanded and formed a great nation led by the Tyrius Sultans, known for their leadership and greatness. A more federal government, the Sultanate is composed of factions led by Emirs, and they serve the Sultan. The Sultanate descended from one family, so they are all kins and considered themselves brothers and sisters. When they came into Alastorn, due to the dangers of the land, they instead lived in the seas through use of ships. Eventually, through the times their technology developed and so did their ships.

With the use of the more advanced technology from the organization that invaded them, they developed their own, and improved their great ships into colossal floating fortresses. These fortresses which are the size of a small island, served as the cities for the Emirs. The largest, Karmerrad, is the capital and largest of the floating fortresses. The Sultanate are powerful at sea warfare, from airborne to underwater. Their ships are strengthened by wave-force technology that they picked up from their invaders, and instead of steel, rockets, and shells, they use photon as weapons either in direct or indirect combat.

The Aenid Sultanate have long been living in seas or in the middle of the ocean in Alastorn, living from the seaborne animals and plants they eat. They avoided wild beasts and other native people from land. Their dominion did not expand before they were invaded by an unknown organization from the other side of Alastorn, which appeared to be more advance in technology. When they mysteriously stopped attacking, and disappeared, their weapons and materials where left. With these, the Sultanate have decided to expand from sea to land. Taking over coastal areas, invaded natives, and building large dock-cities for increase production of their ships and resources. For the past 800 years, the Sultanate grew powerful, that in par with the Imperial force on the other side of the planet.
Now the Sultan sends for his son and his powerful faction, the Arranids, to travel to the other side, and see if they can spread their influence there.

Trivia

  • The people of the Aenid Sultanate, or the Aenids, descended from Earth. Tracing back to the Trojan hero Aeneas, one of his men went astray before leaving with the hero's ship, and was lost from the arid lands until he reached an oasis of a desert nomadic family. He lived with the family and moved from the desert, place to place until they found a distortion in space and teleported into Alastorn. The land was dark and full of dangerous beast, in order to survive, the man of the family teached them the ways of sailing. Eventually this became the genesis of the mighty seaborne Sultanate.
  • The calender used by the Aenids is somewhat similar to the Lunar Calendar. Using the moon and stars to guide them in their journey, they used this as the basis for a new calendar which they call the Heavenly Calendar.
