Once he finishes digging you see that he has revealed a hidden passage. Borin enters the passage and if you follow him the real quest can begin!
Borin will dig up the ground. With a few special effects and some fancy elevator work it appears like he is digging a hole in the ground

During certain quests Borin will act as a follower and even help you fight enemies you may come across
Once you get a quest with Borin the Treasure Hunter he will cut the leaves and reveal the path into the cave
This cave can be easy to miss when it is covered by hanging leaves.
This dig spot has already had its treasure claimed. Follow the footprints to find out who has taken it
