Hero's Story

Natalya lived a wealthy and life of no worries - her life seemed to have reached a level where most, if not everyone envied her status once she married to King Valefor, lord of the World of Seven.
As for most marriages among the nobility, their partners were decided for them by their families. Natalya's parents jumped at the possibility of ascending their daughter from a princess of a small land, to the rank of the kingdom's queen. Being the only land that had starfall rains, the King's council didn't hesitate much before they went to ask for her hand.

During the first period of their relationship, Natalya was pleasantly surprised. Valefor proved to be a decent man, at least when dealing with his wife. A supreme ruler, sure, but being kind and caring wasn't something you'd expect from the leader of the leaders. But, as fate would have it, it did not last for a long time as Natalya slowly took note of a change of personality, as if a poison haze lied heavy over King's mind and changed him... perhaps forever.
Whilst scared, Natalya confronted her husband about her new impression of him, fearing that it was something she had done wrong. That decision in good faith would eventually lead her to where she never expected it would, by her husband's hand.

She coughed blood, coloring her previously white blouse deep red. Her pupils vibrated slightly as she looked up towards the man in front of her.
While looking at his furious and gruesome face she felt nothing but fear, she had never expected that he would have changed so much. Or perhaps it was the real king, and everything else just just a fading front. But one thing was certain - he changed.
The pain eventually faded, despite the multiple stabs through her fragile body. And as everything went black, her last sight in this life was his sadistic grin.

She did not know how long had it been, she could not know either. She could not see anything, but she could breathe, she could move, she could... not move a whole lot as something held back. She tried again, but the only response was a clinking sound. She panicked, shuddered and cried for only god knows how long, until somewhere behind her she could hear a door swinging wide open, letting light enter the previously dark dungeon. The light revealed shackles on both her ankles and wrists. And along with it, another even more terrifying sight, her skin was grey as ash, and she quickly took note of her lifeless hair color as well. It seemed like the king found a way to keep her on the edge of death, making sure she'd suffer for eternity. The door then shut again, making the room dark once more. However one new source of light appeared in front of her, two burning hot iron nails. The light barely reflected an awfully familiar face, and an even more familiar grin.
From there on, she only remembered endless pain and time lost meaning in the small dark room. Minutes felt like hours and in the end she practically forgot the length of an actual minute. All she had was darkness, and suffering.

One day differed from the others though, when a few dampened screams made it's way through the door. Seconds later, a few more screams have hit the door. Then, a sound of the rusty hinge made her body twitch because of what it meant to her once that door was opened. However this time it was different, a voice rung out from behind her, a voice of a young woman that nearly felt as she was singing. "An enemy of the king is an ally of mine. All I demand in return for your freedom is that you resist his rule."
While Natalya did not fully understand the meaning of the words in her shaken state, her chains were broken with a loud crack. While her thoughts tumbled around in her mind she was dragged out of the room by her unknown rescuer, blinding light seeming nearly life-giving to her. She somehow managed to ask for the person's name whilst being dragged through the corridors. "Rose." was the simple answer given.

Hero Introduction

Natalya is a single unit slayer, specializing in dealing massive amounts of psychical damage to single targets. Her skillset has only got two active skills - one which deals magical damage and briefly stops an enemy, and the other one to reduce armor of an enemy, making Natalya's attacks go even higher. Her passives include two critical strike skills where one of them deals nearly lethal damage every time, vampirism so that she can self-sustain, and Wrath perk, which heavily increases her maximum damage, adding a bit of lucky dice roll to her critical and regular attacks. What makes this hero unique is The Revelation perk, which allows Natalya to gain several free of charge levels, and progress with her stats much faster than any other character.

Natalya's Moonchant Gem is REQUIEM, which makes Kobra Strike, The Wrath and The Revelation affect her entire party for half the amounts.

Tactics & Strategy

Being a pure carry class, she must quickly decide what skill does she want to specialize in. Having all skills leveled at once offers more utility, but lesser overall damage output. Revelation should be maxed as soon as possible, as it provides not only damage and armor from agility, but extra HP and MP from other stats. Natalya is generally the last character to get the Moonchant Gem, if she gets one at all - if she's the only carry in the team, it's not quite worth the itemslot and there are characters who'd benefit in most cases much more from it than she would. She pairs well with any buffing class, and particular mention is her combo with Rose - this duo can dish out fantastical amounts of damage with Rose's buffs, and Queen's self-sustain.
