Throughout the Chieftain's life he has witnessed his own kin fleeing in fear at the sight of horned beasts dwelling in the mountains. Inspired by these terrifying beasts, the Chieftain had created an image for himself, yet another great Horned Beast.
After many long fought battles, our worn and weary Chieftain began his slow decline into depression, the loss of his favored clansmen, the kidnap and murder of his lover and the capture and converting of his son. One of the Gods watching the dear Chieftain grew tired of seeing the air befouled by sorrow and as such, the Chieftain was granted with the power to strike down his foes and reclaim his son.
