I've always wondered why there aren't that many Instrument icons on The Hive...
Well, whatever, I've concluded 'twas time to make some. So, here's the first one I'll be uploading. It's basically a violin, so... Nothing special about it. Added those glows so it doesn't look too ordinary. Some of you have seen this in the Texturing & Surfacing sub-forum already, and you suggested to me to upload it, alongside my other icon, the guitar. I'll be uploading that also later.
I'll upload my evidence that this is my icon in the first post, so before you say I stole it or something, check them.
I work in 64x64 btw.
Update 1 (February 01, 2011):
Made it less blurry because we all know that war3viewer sucks at converting the Targa into BLP sometimes.
Update 2 (February 04, 2011):
Updated it. Made the glow a little more glow-ish and resized the icon. The color of the violin is better now IMO as well.

Great idea, musical instruments for Warcraft. Background is the best part of it, violin between red and blue lights. Nice.

Well. It's not smooth I think. I dont know how to explain it. It should have "soft outlines" not hard ones.

It's warcraft style, and in game, they smooth out anyway. I like it more than the smooth ones, it gives me a feeling of a proper form.

You are right, but I have my style too. It is disliked and unapproved, I always make icons on one layer with a lot of blur effect.

Looks very blurry, there are alot of great tutorials here around by NFWar or Pyramidhe@d , check them out.
And you shoulden't stick around with one style all the time, that's lame...
Without those outlines i woulden't be able to tell what it is.

Well, looks like I have to convert it over again to make it less blurry.
Yes I will. That's what's being an artist is about, being only 1 person. But maybe I could do something new...
EDIT: Fuck it, doesn't want to convert it like he should. Check the PSD file to see it a little better and nicer.
I Don't Understand, when I choose 99% (Because that's the MAX) it doesn't make it less blurry.
Can't fix what can't be fixed, so...

Once again I say that Fixing something that is about style won't make it any better... I like glows, and I like THESE kinds of glows.
