I have played this map AND I DO LIKE IT.Are you doing drugs?
Anyway, I can tell you didn't play the map and/or you cannot really appreciate a good role playing game.
I never said that it is bad, i have played it alot myself, and it is a GOOD role playing game. but i personally do not think it is good enough for a directors cut.
Are you talking about all MMORPGs you have played or Wc3 maps?Of course it's not as good as World of Warcraft, but I am a MMORPG fan and I have played hundreds of MMORPG games, and I can tell I HAVE SEEN SHIT MORE THAN YOU DID, and this map alone is better than 99,5% of the MMORPGs I have played!
becouse i dont know what you have been playing if you say that 99,5% is worse then this.
This map is actually kinda basic when it comes to gameplay. You go around and kill units. Learn a few new spells, and then you continue to kill even more units. there isnt much more to it, other then maybe 1 or 2 boss battles in the entire map, but i do not want to repeat that forever.
I would like more things to happen.
I have played countless of free MMORPGs and there is lots of them that is better then this map? (this map is still great though)If you'd like to know, the only MMORPG games I find better than this map alone are World of Warcraft and Risk Your Life. World of Warcraft is (no offence) better in any way, but RYL is not as polished as this map, and has lots of bugs but the essence of RYL is true medieval role playing, like no other game.
Battle of the Immortals is one example. And i am pretty sure that you can make a map like that game in wc3, becouse it really does not have that much advanced stuff in it. (this game gets more fun if you give it a try and do not play solo)
only becouse it is the best map out there does not mean that it is good enough to deserve a directors cut.
Anachrons inventory system is probably one of the best systems out there but it still got reduced to a 5/5 if i remember it correctly? why did that happen?
If that system gets a 5/5 i cant tell why this one gets a 6/5 when its systems isnt as good as anachrons inventory system? and this is a valid point. If this map gets a 6/5, the systems in this map should be as good, if not better then anachrons inventory system, but im not really sure if thats true.
Anyway, this map deserves more than a director's cut for it's qualities. If I were the administrators, I'd place this project in the news page!
Im not to sure about that. I have more personal opinion about this. and i have said a several amount of times why i do not think it deserves it, while you talk more about other games then the actually map this discussion is about.
I fail to see how this map deserves a 6/5. I thought that a 6/5 map would be something great that stands out of the rest in visuality, gameplay, fun factor, etc.
But the biggest part of this map is probably visuality. There is gameplay, but it can be improved. (I love the boss battles, I want more stuff like that.)
And then fun-factor. Im not to sure if this is a 6/5. It is fun at the start, and the first few times you play against the bosses. And to be really honest, when you play this map, most of people just want to play against the necromancer boss. (sorry, cant remember his name)
And this is not a bad thing, that boss happens to be the best part in the entire map if you ask me, i am almost in love with that specific boss battle. The problem is that what happens to the rest of the map? How could i possibly say that this deserves a 6/5 if the only part of the map i really enjoy is that boss battle?
I do think this could get a 6/5 but it needs to be improved.
some things to add could be some timed events. like rushing a dungeon before time runs out or the dungeon will get altered, making it different.
such things like that. More dungeons, more events, more options.
