No, nor is it possible to prevent it from changing to an alternate animation.

The easiest way is by using a metamorphosis spell or simply add dummy abillities on cast.

E.G: Based off of channel, no target cast.

  • Avatar
    • Events
      • Unit- Starts the effect of an abillity
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) is equal to Avatar (Dummy)
    • Actions
      • Unit - Add ability (Armor +X) to triggering unit
      • Unit - Add ability (Attack +X) to triggering unit
      • Unit - Add ability (HP +X) to triggering unit
      • Wait X seconds
      • Unit - Remove ability (Armor +X) to triggering unit
      • Unit - Remove abillity .......
      • Unit - Remove.....
All those three added abillities would have to be based off of item effects, would be invisible and also allows extra customisation of the avatar ability.

Edit: Wait might not be the best possible way to do it, you could add the same thing via timers and hashtables, or by using a group check.
