hi^^

i am working on a soundtrack for a custom Warcraft 3 project.

for that i wanted to cover this piece (Human1 from the Warcraft 3 ALPHA Soundtrack)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSzDNYKnZCQ

just check out the first 2 mins this should be enough for my problem.

i try now since 3 days to cover it, but my versions get always such a "evil" feeling. but it should get tragic (like the alpha soundtrack).

as far i could find it out the main melody of the orginal Track is to 90% pure C minor.

well do u have any sugestion how i can make my version more tragic instead of "evil"?

i tried already to chance the key, but i also didn't catch the right feeling thi that. (i tried D minor and a mixture of D and C minor)

i can also share a MIDI of the main melody of my version. From the orginal piece there is no kind of sheet music so i had to do it by ear.

thank you for reading this

I'm bumping this, but: it doesn't sound as "dark" as you think.

First, do I have your permission to edit the MIDI for the sake of showing my suggestions?

Second, the problem isn't in the composition itself that much, it's in the arrangement. Slow down the tempo by 5%, add a brass section instead of strings (trombones, tuba & french horns).
