Add the unit rider model as an attachment to the attachment point: Chest, Origin, Mount or Head with action trigger: Add Special Effect to Unit or by an ability such as Sphere and then replace the sphere balls with the rider.

I'm not sorry, but attaching simply a unit to another causes some FPS problems or laggs? I remember that I tried this a long time ago and that was not really good, or maybe I just talk bullsh*t...
