Iona RPG

Overview
Iona RPG will be an epic, multi-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Familar morrowind type gamplay. Be a noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief, a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer cleansing the dark plague that has befallen the land of Iona. Your actions define your character and your gameplay affects you directly and indirectly.

Over bnet players can choose to follow main storyline, explore the land of Iona, participate in side quests, duels and castle seiges. Quests and adventures await players who interact with the various NPCs. Regardless of your actions and gamplay, Iona has mulitple possibilities and allows players to continue the main story any time.

Key Features:
-256x256 world allows you to follow the main plot from beginning to end.
-Several items, characters, dungeons, and areas to explore.
-Day/night lighting effects, weather, spells, and creatures.
-World is centered around you. NPCs change their perception of you based on your actions allowing you to experience Iona as an evil or noble character.
-New personality system, that tracks your gamplay and affects how you are treated and what you can achieve, acomplish and gain in quests.
-Balanced gameplay ensures that stealth, magic, and combatant classes are balanced and useful.
-DemonT's 100 inventory system
-Special corpse looting system.
-Quests occur on certain days of the week, and certain times. NPCs have lives, they apear in town on certain days and certain times.
-B2M High rez doodads
-17 playable classes such as Spellsword, Battlemage, Crusader, and so on!
-7 playable races such as the high elf, woof elf, dark skins, humans, and water breathers.
-Birthsigns familiar to those in morrowind and oblivion.

Attached some screens of the crystalmist mountains.

You should look into world editor unlimited... it would give you a bigger map size. And with all those options 256 by 256 may not be enough for the rpg to feel epic.

Regular editor does fine. Reduced size of everything so it gives more space
for adding places. Whats special about the crystalmist mountains is that every so often the mountains will be covered in mist which spawns mist lurkers and mist creepers. The bandits activate an ability called cloak only during mist that turns them invisible.

And for the start...
How you gonna make 7 races to fit in 256x256 map, or do you use same starting location for all races?

Same start place. Every new player starts in prison for whatever crime they comitted. But each race isnt just left to that. Every race has special skills like curing, posion touch, fire immunities, etc

This sounds very similar (in gameplay) to Morrowind, which happens to be my favourite game. I'll be waiting for this to come out.

256x256 is fine, you can always scale everything if you need more space though.
