i also asked the same thing and while i was testing mine i found that as you move to different terrain heights the camera will still be locked on the unit but will not lock to height so i used a series of regions where when a unit enters that region the height wouldchange to the correct height
if you know how to get a 3rd person camera...just set the height and angle of attack to the proper position and then offset by X in direction unit is facing.
just tinker around with X until you have it right.
