Hmm pretty damn good
the chin is a bit pointy and the hairline is a bit odd, but otherwise I can't see many problems with it. Does it have team colours?
For those of you who thinks the face sucks, watch the animated LoTR. That face looks the exact same as the animated, oh well GJ on model 4.5/5 -.5 because u didnt put the knives on his quiver in the back
While the skin is good, for many years I've thought about three unfortunate problems:
1) This uses the ranger.mdx joint rig, instead of the better SylvanusWindrunner.mdx rig. Sylvanus's rig had a 'spell' animation added to it, which all other wc3 archer models lack, and looks good for a sword-slash type animation for Legolas.
2) This has no portrait model.
3) This uses a female death sound.
All of these are compounded by the frustration that the UV map for the skin in the facial region was altered from standards for other archer models, which means the skin can't be combined with a better model. It's a choice of using this good skin with a bad model, or using a better model with a less accurate skin. If anyone ever happens to come across a version of the model with any of these problems fixed, mentioning it here would be greatly appreciated by mappers around the world.
Hey im having a bit of a problem getting this to work........i got it up in the import manager im using a high elf archer as the vanilla model but when i try to change the model from archer to legolas it changes from an mdx file to mdl and wont display the new model............anyone know what im doing wrong?
any help would be appreciated.
