first, how many years passed between the end of the 2nd war and the beguinning of the human RoC campaign ?

I'm going to be completely honest and say that is not something I know of the top of my head. But according to this UNOFFICIAL timeline it seems to be just 1 year, that would seem accurate to as the end last event of the second war is generally considered to be Lord of the Clans which happens just prior to the beginning of WarCraft III.

If I would have been to make a guess I would have said that the time between the end of WCII and WCIII was absolutly none officially speaking or at most a few days. This unofficial timeline however seems to dispute that. I have no other option than to say that my original thought was most likely incorrect.
