It looks interesting (I like the horror genre)... but nothing against you guys but why call you project a "Director's Cut" project inaddtion its will be not hurt if you guys will be remove the self-praise like lines/comments for example "Godlike Terrain! (see screenshots)" in my opinion it isn't really professional and I suggest to improve the screenshots maybe you should remove the desktop parts in your screenshots because I think it ruins the atmosphere. Anyway I hope you able to finish your project and I wish you ofcourse a lot of fun and luck. Have nice day.

Screenshots looks really good, I'll be supporting this one(subscribing). Hope to see more.
Dualism-Chapter 1
So it means there will be a chapter 2 and so on? but just like what Grievous said why did you name it Director's Cut?
If you want beta tester count me in, I'm so excited to try this one.

We are aiming towards the rating Director's Cut. We want to show our supporters and followers that we aren't going to settle with anything but the best basically. That's why we decided to include "Director's Cut" in the title of this thread.

Hmmm, the terrain looks like a director's cut for me, but still need more improvement to be come more creepier, but the the terrain I give it a 5/5.
Good luck on this wonderful project. 82 MB of a map is worth of downloading if you put more features on it, or you make it a total different game where people won't see a scratch of warcraft 3.

The terrain on this project really is top-notch.
You might want to pay more attention to how you present your project to the community. Even little things stick out like a sore thumb
"Used to light unlit litable objects such as candles & laterns."
But this looks like a very promising project.

Subscribing.
In my opinion, the lights in the screenshot could be better. Make it darker.
Also, the item descriptions suck. Dont stick with a single sentence. Tell us your map genre. Is it an FPS, Survival, etc.
Lastly, place the maps story. It will get you more viewers. Character introductions may do.
Looks like a promising project. But, make your thread more pretty. Also, as Grievious1 said, remove those self-praises. Let the people decide if your terrain is godlike or not.

It sounds and looks quite good so far.
The fact that you guys have set your standards and hopes high is a good thing, but putting director cut in your title is a little arrogant. just put that somewhere in the description under the lines of Aims and then elaborate on it, at the moment it makes you sound a little cocky. (A title should merely state the project name and the possible game type (makes a more clean entry as well)).
Apart from that I wish you guys good luck, lets see if you can beat a game like "Zombie Island" horror wise :).

May I ask what happened to your other two "Directors Cut" projects? ;_:

@Proxy due to other members of the team being unserious and in one case my arm being broken they got disbanded. I still have the maps and the ideas and I will potentially finish them one day but not in a couple of years at least.
@Hemlock we will keep the Director's Cut in the thread name for now. If later when we show more work and the subject comes up again we might consider changing it.
@Jazztastic changed it now. Thx for notifying me +rep.
@Drunken Jackal the item description which you find in this thread is not the one we will use for the actual game. The only reason why we show you some of the items which the game will contain is simply to give you a general idea of what the gameplay will be like. The whole map from the beginning is 90% black. You can barely see anything at all. Then we place some already lit candles and other light sources around the map to increase visibility. Still after all of the light sources being placed out there will still be around 60-70% darkness. This is what your own light source is for, the Flashlight. Now, the interesting part with this item is that it drains batteries. Since the game will be incredibly mentally challenging to play trough due to how scary the game will actually be, containing popups and scares around almost every corner, the batteries will bring a very strategic gameplay to the map. You will want to save up your batteries for the scariest parts, forcing the player to choose when to use the flashlight very carefully. Now for the remaining darkness you can light up unlit candles and other light sources. This requires the Lighter item which I can recall me and Darkarza agreeing on being obtained in the first room. Even the Lighter will have a very strategic touch to it since there will be a 20% chance that you fail to light something up as well as the lighter being unable to operate while not having a high enough amount of gasoline, another item which can be found at various locations throughout the map.

This is amazing ! I'm currently working of one this kind of map. But your seems way better lol. If your project is done, it will be a masterpiece. The only default is that map can't be play in multi. Maybe you should add sounds in a add-on system. Anyway, great work ^^

@purparisien Thanks for the positive mindset! I think we are going to play each sound manually to make it fit perfectly in every scenario instead of having a engine generate them. We'll and also have loads of 3D sounds going on, for an example If you are standing close to a fireplace, we're going to deliver every aspect of that fireplace possible with the Warcraft 3 engine trough your screen. You will literary feel the heat pouring out of your screen.
At the moment, I am working on terraining a huge forest. I am waiting for Darkarza to log on as well to discuss the release of video content relevant around the project. I had in mind to show you guys some behind the scenes actions such as: How do I terrain? How do Darkarza design? How do we work together? How do we form ideas?
Expect loads of new in game pictures and perhaps even some videos to come out this week.
