Work on WLA has been especially intense over the past few days. As many of you have noticed throughout this time, the upcoming version is heavily focused on optimization, refinement, and internal improvements to the game’s systems. This time, it was the turn of the main system that manages damage and resistances.

Without getting into technical details, the system was fully ported to JASS (it was originally built in GUI), which allowed for a deep optimization of its internal engine. Overall, the load generated by this system was reduced by approximately 20%—a number that may not look huge on paper, but in full-house, long-duration matches it makes a significant difference.

In addition to the optimization, several minor bugs were fixed that caused certain resistances or damage bonuses to not apply correctly. Everything now works as intended.

And that’s not all: the system now includes two new fully functional and stackable stats, just like any other:
  • Physical Evasion
  • Magical Evasion

So don’t be surprised if you start seeing these new attributes in the upcoming version.
