Warlords!
By Captain Griffen, with terrain by Rao Dao Zao, and extensive refinement and mechanics help from Anitarf.

Fast paced strategy and tactics based map, set in a fictional medieval landscape. Take up the mantal of the three aspiring warlords, seeking to dominate the lands, or perhaps join the barbarian hordes that look to break out from their infertile deserts and cut down the humans and elves before them? Or maybe take command of the Canith Empire's forts in the area, seeking to hold back and crush this ever growing barbarian threat?

The world awaits - strategy, politics and battle tactics will influence the outcome. Time to dust off your copy of the Art of War...

Warlords: Take over all villages, crush the other warlords, and defeat the barbarians.
Imperials: Defeat the barbarians.
Barbarians: Kill everyone.

- Defensive advantages and quick paced battles making interesting tactical decisions.
- Heroes are not all destroying, but used effectively they be highly effective.
- An upkeep and corruption system, favouring those who fight rather than those who try to build a massive army.
- Very well optimised, running very smoothly.
- Fast paced warfare, while managable, and little
- Fairly quick games; almost never over 45 minutes.
- Warlord Rumble mode, with just warlords (simply don't have Imps/Barbs).
- Varied units, with their own strengths and weaknesses.
- Well chosen and compressed imports, adding a little bit of style while keeping the map size under 900kB.

Map: (currently theoretically in beta, but basically finished; a few features may be added for the 0.3 series)

Remember - your troops, your hero, your army; they are your toolbox. Use them well; they all have a purpose.
